How are whoobie prints made?
Each whoobie print is reproduced using the giclee method of print reproduction. A high-resolution copy of the original image is transferred to the canvas by the printer. The canvas print is then stretched over a 3/4" deep wooden frame, and fitted to hang.
What is 'giclee'?
Giclee, according to www.wikipedia.org, is "the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". The process is commonly used in galleries and fine art print shops to make reproductions of originals.
